Stuffed French Toast

 

8 slices of raisin bread (thick cut)

1 8 oz. package of cream cheese (softened)

6 eggs well beaten .

1/4 cup of strawberry preserves

3 tbsp butter

Dash of milk

Powdered sugar

Maple Syrup

 

Spread cream cheese evenly on one side of each slice of raisin bread.  Spread a thin layer of preserves over each cream cheese side.  Put together as to form a cream cheese sandwich.

Combine beaten eggs and milk in mixing bowl.  Dunk cream cheese sandwiches into egg mixture and place in hot buttered skillet.  Fry until golden on both sides.

Serve topped with powdered sugar, butter, and your favorite syrup.
